Trata-se de um conjunto de informações gráficas (pontos, linhas e polígonos) e alfanuméricas, georreferenciadas, interpretadasem escala 1:250.000, que retratam características geomorfológicas da Folha SG.22 conforme metodologia contida no Manual Técnicode Geomorfologia (ftp://geoftp.ibge.gov.br/documentos/recursos_naturais/manuais_tecnicos/manual_tecnico_geomorfologia.pdf). São delineados e descritos polígonos de modelados de relevo contendo suanatureza genética, Unidade e Região Geomorfológica e o Domínio Morfoestrutural no qual estão inseridos. Também são representadas,por linhas e pontos, as principais formas de relevo encontradas no país.A metodologia descrita no Manual Técnico de Geomorfologia é uma evolução dos procedimentos metodológicos adotados pelo projetoRADAMBRASIL no mapeamento geomorfológico do Brasil na escala de 1:1.000.000. O processo de elaboração dos mapas consistedas seguintes etapas: (1) estudo preliminar da área com a aquisição de bibliografia, documentos cartográficos e produtosde sensoreamento remoto, (2) elaboração de mapa geomorfológico preliminar com a análise da drenagem e delimitação de modeladose formas de relevo, apontando os locais de dúvida e de interesse para a terceira etapa, (3) atividade de campo, que tem comoobjetivo, além de solucionar dúvidas, o reconhecimento de características do relevo com preenchimento de formulários de campoe registros fotográficos, (4) reinterpretação do mapeamento com base nas informações obtidas em campo, e (5) armazenamentodas informações gráficas e alfanuméricas em banco de dados para posterior consulta, tratamento e/ou edição.
